Expanding the Portfolio Introducing Darren Warren, one of the newest members to the Fine & Country Norfolk team. Darren joins Fine & Country with 22 years’ experience, and will be heading up the new office in Fakenham - set to open in early 2016 - where he will be responsible for expanding their property portfolio in North West Norfolk, and all the way along the north Norfolk coast. Darren has a wealth of knowledge, having started his career in estate agency at the tender age of 15. “I literally came straight out of school and started working at an agency in Norwich. I really did start at the bottom; making tea, doing the filing, running errands, but I am particularly proud of the fact that I was quickly promoted to sales negotiator and sold my first house at 16, and was director of my own company by my late 20’s.” A local lad, Darren has always admired the Fine & Country business model and was therefore delighted to be appointed as the Sales Director of the new Fakenham office. “The Norwich office is doing phenomenally well and I am keen to replicate this success across the whole of North West Norfolk. We have already taken on several new properties and are all excited about the potential that this beautiful part of Norfolk has to offer.”
Having gone to school and grown up in Norwich, Darren remembers family holidays and days out spent exploring the villages and beaches of the North Norfolk coast and can’t wait to start building up a new portfolio of properties from this much loved area. Win a famous whole Suffolk Black Ham from Emmett’s of Peasenhall, worth over £150 Emmett’s has been on the same site in Suffolk since the 1820s, and is the oldest ham and bacon producer in England. Our delicatessen and café is based in the pretty village of Peasenhall, near to the coastal towns of Southwold, Walberswick and Aldeburgh, and all the ham and bacon, which is sourced from locally reared pigs, is still cured or gently smoked in the old smokehouse behind the shop. Our signature product, Suffolk Black Ham, is immersed in a marinade of black porter beer and a mixture of other secret ingredients for up to 6 weeks, prior to being hot smoked for 2-3 days. This process produces a delicious ham that is rich and earthy, with a great depth of flavour, and has earned us a Royal warrant for over 36 years. We are delighted to have teamed up with Fine & Country to offer a whole black cooked ham on the bone delivered to mainland UK in time for Christmas 2015.
