Festivals are going virtual this fall

Coming this fall, the ST. LOUIS JEWISH BOOK FESTIVAL & ST. LOUIS JEWISH FILM FESTIVAL will be held virtually. You’ll be able to enjoy, relax and learn about great authors and enjoy and immerse yourself in wonderful films from the comfort of your own home. Details will be coming soon for our authors, including the keynote speaker, as well as all the films that will be featured. Sunday Friendship

Explore St. Louis and make new friends with this social group for adults with disabilities. We plan fun events each year. Participants set interpersonal and independence goals to work on at each activity. Trained staff help the participant to work toward and achieve his or her goals. This group runs on a 1:5 ratio and participants should not display aggressive behavior. Participants who need 1:1 assistance must be accompanied by their own staff. Sponsored by the Productive Living Board.

Sunday Friendship Pool Party

Adult Enjoy an afternoon of splashing around outside with your friends! We will offer a nice cold treat. Meet in the Fitness & Wellness lobby with your swimsuit on and towel in hand before heading over to the pool. This activity is limited to 25 participants; concessions will be closed. Sunday Friendship Outdoor Movie

Adult In the 1950s, watching movies from your car, or just bringing your TV out to the yard, was normal and a great entertainment. The great thing about Covid-19, is that it has reminded us how to spend time outside! Join us to watch Shazam! Please consider the weather and dress accordingly, and meet at the Day Camp Pavilion. Refreshments will be provided. This activity is limited to 40 participants. Alzheimer’s Association Virtual Cardinals Reminiscence League

Adult For all who would like to join in the conversation about our beloved St. Louis Cardinals, you’re invited. This “sports reminiscence therapy” is under the umbrella of socialization programs where those showing signs of dementia are able to engage with others who share their passion, as colorful memories may emerge.
