Barbados celebrated 50th years of independence on November 30th, 2016. We are proud to be members of a nation which has reached this marvelous milestone. In celebration of this achievement, a photo campaign was released on social media which highlighted the contribution of JCI Barbados to the nation of Barbados over the years. President Charlene was also invited by the Barbados Government Information Service to be part of the “Countdown to 50” campaign. This campaign involved different individuals reciting a personal message and stating the number of days left until independence. We challenge the citizens of Barbados to become more active citizens and make a commitment for peace so this great nation may reach another 50 years in the future.
