By JCI Mem.NiΓ±o Jan V. Miole It only took few seconds for the world to realize the group of people who stand atop the peak of the mountain with their feet planted firmly on the ground.

In an interview with the 2021 President, Clent Vincent Medina, Nucleus asked him what were the variables that lead into achieving this remarkable feat?

JCI Cebu, with it's rich 73- year history dating back to 1978, has underwent extreme pressure like a charcoal from tons of various life-changing experiences with each year leading to its transformation into a paragon of excellence and beauty akin to that of a diamond.

He said: "As their president, it is only my duty to empower them so that they can reach new heights. I don't take any credit for the results. They have done it themselves and I'm proud of how much they have grown. I will always support them no matter what."

Last September 4, 2021 (Saturday), JCI Cebu bested other local chapters by being the most decorated chapter, emerging victorious by winning 15 Awards, 11 of which are Quadro and 4 are Merit Awards in the recently concluded 2021 Merry Area4Con: Building Bridges.

President Medina believes that it was empowerment that fueled the members to strive to reach for that stars and embody the ideals of the organization from it's values to mission.

Furthermore, the chapter also garnered awards from the following special categories: Mr. JCI Visayas, Public Speaking, and JCI Got Talent.

As they celebrated their historic win, they look forward to face the Goliaths that have had gathered in all of the five areas in the forthcoming Temiong Awards in the National Conference on November 21-22, 2021.

3 Dragons, 1 Room: 3 Cebu Chapters Go Triple Treat for Organizational Development By JCI Mem. Daryl NiΓ±o Jabil PUSHED forward by a threeparty twining agreement together, JCI Cebu Inc., JCI Cebu Sinulog and JCI Cebu Hara – dubbed C3 Chapters – gathered together for the first time, physically, at the BIG Hotel on June 30 for a meeting and series of joint trainings. The three local presidents – JCI Cebu Hara’s Febe Kaye dela Rosa, JCI Cebu Sinulog’s Darwin Rojo and JCI Cebu Inc’s Clent Medina – sat beside each other on a long table in front of their members, as they laid out opportunities for collaboration from some of the community and fundraising projects they have in the pipeline. β€œI am so happy that we do this,” said Rojo before he started sharing the presentation he had prepared, β€œas I feel like we’re finally getting back to our roots. Our Chapter’s Founder was JCI Cebu Hara back then, while our Charter President was an esteemed JCI Cebu Inc. member.”

Nel Ediza, also taught the participants from the three chapters on the important legalities on the β€œEvolution of Due Process in the Workplace.” Capping off the tripartite training series during the night was JCI Cebu Hara’s Dairy Bentulan, who delivered her module on β€œ7 Ways to Get Others to Follow Your Ideas.” The night ended with the presidents exchanging β€œGifts of Good-Will” among each other.

2021 Visayas' Most Outstanding New Member Empowers The Youth To Vote By NiΓ±o Jan Miole Why should we vote? Does one vote even matter? As elections are fast approaching, the campaigning period for those vying for national positions have started and people are confused to whom they should vote so some would tend to go neutral and find it a hassle to register themselves.

Furthermore, #AmbagKo (Rehistro. Boto.), an initiative by JCI Philippines together with JCI Senate Iloilo and JCI Iloilo, aims to encourage eligible voters to register and vote in the 2022 elections. Our new member, Daryll Carillo, was invited by the said movement to help spread the information to the youth. Together, let's register and vote!

With the notion of being the organization that unites all sectors of society, JCI seeks to use its influence to help filipinos understand why registration and voting matters. The people that we will be voting will critically change not just the political landscape of the Philippines but also affect the entirety of our livesfrom business, education, health, and much more.
