Annie Cox was born August 29, 1950, from the union of the late Sallie Cox and Eddie Brown.
Annie Cox worked for Memphis City Schools for 40 years. She was adored by her co-workers and friends at Humes Middle School.
Annie Cox had two loving sons, Dexter Williams, who preceded her in death, and Montrell Rogers, Sr. She leaves cherished memories with her son Montrell Rogers, Sr. (Avis Rogers), four granddaughters, Tasha Williams, LaShunta Blair, Erica Rogers, and Cadexria Macklin, and one grandson, Montrell Rogers, Jr. She also leaves two brothers, Wymon Brown and Paul Brown. She leaves one sister, Judy Brown. She leaves 10 great-grandchildren, whom she spoke of often, and beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.
