Life’eflections s Reflections R

Mr. Antonio Marquette Smith, lovingly called Tony, was born July 21, 1984, in Shelby County, Tennessee, to Mr. Jimmy Smith Sr. and Mrs. Bernice Smith.

He departed this life on September 29, 2021, at St. Francis Hospital Memphis. Tony accepted Christ at an early age at New Hope M.B Church under the leadership of Reverend James E. Smith. Tony was a White Station High School graduate, and later, he attended Swift Transportation Trucking School, where he obtained his CDL. Tony was a devoted father, son, brother, and friend. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. Tony was a true San Francisco 49ers fan. Tony enjoyed hanging out with his family and friends. Tony’s favorite saying was “free to leave.” He leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Jimmy Smith, Sr. and Bernice Smith of Memphis, TN; one son, Anthony Marquette Smith, Jr., of Memphis, TN; three brothers, Jimmy Smith Jr., Donavon J. Smith (Syndey), and Emmanuel O. Smith (Kennedy) all of Memphis, TN and two sisters, Shawntoryuda T. Payne (Jeremy) and Omayiahi M. Westbrook of Collierville, TN and Jewell E. Smith of Memphis, TN, seven aunts, Mary L. Westbrook of Collierville, TN, Gail A. Westbrook of Memphis, TN, Robin Westbrook of Collierville, TN and Theresa Westbrook of Arlington TN, Operadella Cosey and LaShonda James Smith both of Memphis, TN; two god-brothers, Kajuan Davis and Anthony Hawkins, and a host of cousins and friends to mourn his passing. Psalms 23

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul; He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil; for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies; Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

“Our Dear Tony” Now that you’re gone; We will miss you dearly. Now that you’re gone; We cried then; We will continue to cry. Our hearts are broken. We don’t know how to take it. But we know that you have parted from us and carried up into heaven. A better place, where there is nothing but love to fill your heart. Now that you’re gone. We shall not be crying just out of sorrow but out of rejoice too. We know you are in God’s arms. Now that you’re gone. We’ll Love You Always and Forever, Love your Family

LTributes oving

To A Loving Son In Heaven Our time together was special So were the memories we made And although you live in Heaven now Those memories never fade We bow my head in silence And remember our son with love And we know that you are up there Watching from above Everyday’s a struggle And nothing feels the same And our hearts break a little more Everytime we hear your name You’ll aways be remembered And time may heal our hearts But a piece of us is missing Since the day we had to part

If Heaven is for Angels Then we know that’s where you’ll be And we know you will be waiting When Heaven calls for us too

Love Always, Jimmy & Bearnice

Saying Goodbye to Tony

We have watched you suffer and take your last breath We knew the inevitable would happen and that is death But we didn’t want to see you leave and it’s really hard to let go You have left from our sights But never from our thoughts or our hearts Because we know we will meet you again And when that time comes, we will never be apart We will find comfort in knowing that God knows what is best That’s why He called you home to give you rest Rest from your aches and pains to have sickness no more God’s arms are opened wide as you walk through heaven’s door We love you so much, but we know that God love’s you more!
