With You In The Morning I lay in bed at night to the Lord, I do pray for just one more day, To see her sitting on that red couch, I can only hear you say. When you go forward in life No matter how bad it seems Don’t take for granted the most important things I and granny were so close, She was the sun after a rainy day, and I was the rainbow at the end, And when it’s my time the rain will stop, And one day I’ll be back with my best friend. I hope heaven has a window, and God allows you to look through, So you can give me the strength I need to be here without you I keep on me a photo of your smiling face And when I look at it I escape to a more serene place We were separated by hearts but still connected by souls You know secrets that no one else knows You taught me right, and before I did wrong you gave me warnings You uplifted my spirit molded me into a form just as beautiful as yours I dried my tears to be strong through all this mourning I prayed last night so that I could send my best friend off in the morning.
