If Roses Grow In Heaven If roses grow in Heaven Lord, please pick a bunch for me, Place them in my mother’s arms And tell her they’re from me. Tell her I love her and miss her. And when she turns to smile, Place a kiss on her cheek and hold her for a while. Because remembering her is easy, I do it everyday, But there’s an ache within my heart That will never go away. Your Daughter

Our Grandmother Grandmother when we think about you being gone, Our hearts are saddened and we don’t kniow how we’ll go on. You always had time to listen to our complaints, We’ve said so many times, “That woman’s a saint.” You taught us more about life than anyone at all. And were always available, anytime we would call. We shed a tear because our “Grandma’s” gone. Now somehow we’ll find the strength to go on. Love, Your Grandchildren

Life’s Reflections

Moss was born on January 10, 1951, to Jessie and Elnora James in Saginaw, MI. She later moved to Memphis, Tennessee as a child. She graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1969, and Jessie married John L. Moss that following year on June 11, 1970. Several years later, she received her Associate’s Degree in Nutrition from Shelby State Community College. She dedicated her life at an early age. As a teenager, she loved to jump rope, go to the movies, dance, and helping an elderly lady that lived next door to her. Jessie loved her daughter and family very much. She would check on her family and friends, especially when they were sick and in times of need. She was a loving and caring person, and she did this until she couldn’t do it anymore. She also was “Mama” to everyone. Jessie is preceded in death by her father, mother, and two sisters. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, John L. Moss, daughter, Tara Henry, three sisters, Ardella Miles (Jerry), Gloria Mitchell, and Linda Thomas, and two brothers, Frankie James (Carla) and Joseph James (Catherine), five grandchildren, Kyrice and Zharia Henry, Elena and Shamir Halbert, and Lamarcus Young as well as numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other families, and friends.

“Our Beloved Sister”

Since the birds have called you home Oh, the most precious jewel that outshone any stone left our hearts empty and our spirits so alone The wheels are still turning a pound for a ride But no one is home here No feeling inside We didn’t know you could live outside yourself So numb within Whilst the whole world still sees you functioning In the time here without you The point isn’t so clear As behind each breath taken is yet Another tear The smile wears thin as it has to pretend That our souls are willing to endure life

To its end And oh, the hustle and bustle of days Still roll along But there are no words spoken in Poems and no tunes left in song A space remains empty where your Beauty did shine Where like starlights your diamonds Danced to the end of our time For you it came sooner for us we must wait To see that black hair flowing over Heavens gates! Our mentor, protector, sister, soulmate and friend, We will love you as we did then and will till the end. Brothers & Sisters
