My family would like to thank each and every one of you who attended the service, sent flowers and cards, and gave kind words of encouragement to keep us lifted at this difficult time. Just as much as they miss me, I miss them too.

Leanner B. Rhynes
Let me formally introduce myself. My name is Leanner Rhynes. I was born to the late Willie Brown and the late Annie Mae Brown on March 24, 1937 in Rossville, TN. I enjoyed and was active in my church homes, Stinson Chapel C.M.E Church and later New Stinson Community Church. Sixty-five years ago, on December 18, 1954, I married my sweetheart, Abraham Rhynes, Sr. and God blessed us with three beautiful children, Abraham, Jr., Lorenzo and Rachel. Those who are dear and close to me know that I am passionate about my family, my cooking, my home, my flowers and the Memphis Grizzlies BEFORE Z-Bo and Tony Allen left. I was always active in my lifetime. I enjoyed working at Troxel and Carrier, traveling, caring for my grandchildren, gardening and fishing until later years when my health began to fail. I had a few health issues that would have made some people give up, but I kept on fighting. My body became too weary after a while though, so my My Father took me off the battlefield to take my rest on Wednesday, November 11, 2020. My vessel is gone but my spirit and legacy will continue to live on with my loving husband of 65 years Abraham Rhynes, Sr.; children in love, Sammie Shaw (Janice), Rebecca Franklin, Abraham Rhynes, Jr., Lorenzo Rhynes, Rachel Diggs (Martel); one beautiful sister Lula Johnson (James); three sisters and five brothers were already awaiting my arrival in the kingdom); eleven grandchildren; fifteen greatgrandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. From my heart I want to thank my husband, daughter, sons and grandsons, especially Ryan Mitchell and Wesley Mitchell for their wonderful care of me in my most vulnerable times during my illness. I know I was well cared for and loved by my family.
