A Fallen Limb

A limb has fallen from the family tree. I keep hearing a voice that says,” Grieve not for me. Remember the best times, the laughter, the song, The good life I lived while I was strong. Continue my heritage, I’m counting on you. Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through. My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest, Remembering all, how I truly was blessed. Continue my traditions, no matter how small, Go on with your life; don’t worry about me at all. I miss you all dearly; so, keep up your chin, Until the day comes when we’re together again.”

A Tribute to Our Dearest Uncle Mack H. Scott God saw you getting tired And a cure was not to be So he put His arms around you And whispered, “Come to me.” With tearful eyes we watched you As you slowly slipped away And though we loved you dearly We couldn’t make you stay. Your golden heart stopped beating Your tired hands put to rest God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes “The BEST.”

Love Always and Forever, Your Great Nieces, Ma’Kayla, Maleah, Madelyn, & Makiyah Beauregard & Your Great Nephew, Edward Wellington III

To My Favorite Uncle- Mack Scott:

I tried my best to make sure you were taken care of and was always there whenever you called me. Losing you has hurt me and Ed “The Professor” so bad, but we will continue to make you PROUD. Thank you for being more than an uncle to me and my siblings. You were more like a father to all of us. I know you are in heaven smiling down on us and we are smiling too knowing you are not suffering anymore. I find peace in knowing you are not in any more pain and I know you are now resting.

Love Always and Forever, Your Niece, Ireti

Wanted to Give You the World

We didn’t have enough times together in these city streets going and running to convenience stores, grocery stores, and markets. We laughed with each other, and we smiled at each other. You were a father figure to me, my sisters and many of the family too. You might not have shown me how to tie my shoes, but you taught me how to stand up in them and be a MAN. You were a great man, very devoted to your loved ones as well as the United States Army. You will be truly missed and always loved. This is going to be tough, but your legacy well live on. May all the Scott and Horhn family and friends be Blessed.

Love Always, Your Nephew Ivory You Meant So Much

You meant so much to all of us. You were special, and that’s no lie. You brightened up the darkest day and the cloudiest sky. I grew up with you in our lives every single day. Seeing you sick was hard, and we all wished and hoped that you would one day get up and joke and play around with everyone like you always did, but it was your time. You have always been in my life through thick and thin. And now my lonely journey without you will begin. Uncle Mack, you were more like a father to us. You were such a great human being very strong, bold, brilliant, rare, larger than life kind of person. This is such a huge loss to us. I miss you so much the pain does not ease. And I know you are finally at peace.

Love Always & Forever, Love Always & ForeverYour Niece, Kalena Uncle Mack, you were a man of Honor, Diligence, and love. You loved your family more than life. We want to thank you for loving us the way that you did. We love you more. Now it is time to take your bow and take your rest.

Love Your Niece, Great Niece, & Great-great Nephews. ~Rhonda, Shondrika, Ryle, Rayan
