Forever in Our Hearts
Celebratinig theSunshine of our Life Sonja Lafaye :Faye: Hunter-Coleman
was born to the late Allen and T. Bertha Hunter, a general laborer and homemaker, respectively, in Rosedale, Mississippi, on December 11, 1965. Faye attended Rosedale Elementary School and West Bolivar High School. She was always academically inclined, therefore, excelling in school. She furthered her education at Mississippi Valley State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science. Faye was a firm believer in God who received Christ as her Savior and accepted the way of salvation as it unfolds in the gospel. She professed a love for Christ and was baptized according to Acts 2:38. Whereas, she repented from her sins, was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, and filled with the Holy Ghost. She was a long-serving member of the New Testament Church of the Orthodox Apostolic Faith in Clinton, Mississippi, currently pastored under Apostle Edward L. Taylor’s leadership. Faye was destined for a time to love with the love of her life Cedric Coleman. Mississippi Valley State University is where their love story began. She arrived at MVSU in 1983, and her presence was immediately made known. Not because of a bad reputation but because you knew she was a child of God. They were married May 12, 1990, and to that union were born three amazing children. Faye was an educator at heart, as exemplified by her tenure with the Clinton Public School District and the Jackson Public School District until her retirement at 28 years of service. She was kind and soft-spoken but firm. Her positive teacher-student relationships will forever have long-lasting effects on their social, emotional, and academic development. She always had time to answer a question or solve a problem, no matter who or how small. She never met a stranger because her smile embodied her personality…. big, bright, welcoming, and loving. Sonja LaFaye “Faye” Coleman, 55, went to her heavenly home on March 4, 2021, after a valiant battle with an extended illness surrounded by her loved ones. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace. Faye leaves to mourn her loss a loving and devoted husband of 30 years: Cedric L. Coleman; three children: LaSonja DeShaye, Chenequia, and Cedtavious; three grandchildren, her “G-Babies”: Nehemiah, Noah, and Brookelyn Faith. She also leaves seven siblings: Allen (Mandy) Hunter, Herman (Pairlee) Hunter, Terry (Mary) Hunter, Bridget Hunter, Adrienne Holiday, Stephanie Hunter, and Chandra Hunter. She also leaves cherished memories with a sister-in-law Elnora (Johnny) Richardson, mother-in-law Dorothy Coleman, two brothers-in-law Roderick (Linda) Coleman and Gregory (Andrea) Coleman, two uncles Jimmy (Ida) Harris, Larry (Danielle) Fullilove, an aunt Alma (Avan) Keyes, four longstanding best and loyal friends of 38 plus years Samantha Vail, Evelyn Hinton, Patricia Jones, and Dianne DaleyMcKay, a Godson Bobby Harris, Jr., a host of nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, friends, church members, and the community. We know that Faye is no longer in pain and is now enjoying the warmth and peace of our heavenly Father. She was predeceased in death by her parents Allen and T. Bertha Hunter, her sister Dorie Hunter, her brother John Richardson, and her nephew JaaKovis Ford.
23rd Psalm
The Lord was my Shepherd, and I did not want. He allowed me to lay down in green pastures. He led me beside the still waters. He restored my soul. He led me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Yea, though I walked through the valley of the shadow of death; I feared no evil. For you were with me. Your rod and your staff comforted me. You prepared a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anointed my head with oil. My cup ran over. Because of you, goodness and grace followed me all the days of my life. Now I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Amen! Amen! Amen!

She Will Be There ot tell;
The depths of sorrow we cann Of the loss of one we loved so well; And while she lies in peaceful sleep; Her memory we shall always keep. We know that she is happy; In our Saviour’s home above; Growing fairer as she lingers; In the sunshine of His love. Her loving face I hope to see again; Though the days have passed away; Sleep on, dear wife, and take thy rest; I miss you most who loved you best. We are sad within our memory; Lonely are our hearts today; For the one we loved so dearly; Has forever been called away. My lips cannot tell how I miss her; My heart cannot tell what to say. God alone knows how I miss her; In a home that is lonesome today. The pearly gates were opened; A gentle voice said “Come”; And with farewells unspoken; She gently entered home. Gone from the earth so swiftly; Just like a flower in bloom; So young, so fair, so loving; Yet called away so soon. We will meet her some glad morning; Resting by waters fair; She is waiting for our coming; In the upper garden there. Forever, Cedric

Special Tribute To Our Mom
Somewhere in our hearts beneath all our grief and pain, Is a smile we still wear at the sound of your dear name. The precious word is ‘MOTHER,’ she was our world, you see, But now our hearts are breaking cause she’s no longer here with us. God chose her for His angel to watch us from above, To guide us and advise us and know that we’re still loved. The day she had to leave us when her life on earth was through, God had better plans for her, for this, we surely knew. When we think of her kind heart and all those loving years, Our memories surround us, and we can’t hold back the tears. She truly was our best friend, someone we could confide in, She always had a tender touch and a warm and gentle grin. We want to thank you, Mother, for teaching us so well, And though the time has come that we must bid you this farewell. We’ll remember all you’ve taught us and make you proud, you’ll see. Thank you, our Dear Mother, for all the love you showed us. Although you’ve left this earth and now you’ve taken flight, We know that you are here with us each morning, noon, and night

Our Deebie
From our beginning until your end You were by our side, our first best friend. Not a day goes by that we do not think of you You taught us more than we ever knew. You gave us reason to continue the fight Saying a better day comes after the night. Our lives are shaped by our Deebie’s prayers. And we are thankful for her always being there. Her love was evident in so many ways In her kind voice and on her smiling face. Deebie’s leaving is Heaven’s gain. But, one day we shall see her again. The Jesus that our Deebie knew. She made sure we got to know Him, too.
Loving You Forever,
Nehemiah, Noah, and Brookelyn Faith
Love Speaks with 10, 000 Tongues Saying goodbye is always so difficult, And it can be hard to find the words. To express how you really feel about someone, Who is so dearly loved. Those we love never truly leave us, There are things death cannot touch. Love speaks with more than 10,000 tongues, We all love you just that much. You walked with the universe on your shoulders. We knew that God was there just holding her. We say not in grief that you are no more, But say in thankfulness that you were. We went from being the winning ten To the blessed number of seven. That is because God knew He wanted his best right now for Heaven. The world changes from year to year, And our lives change from day to day. But the love and sweet memories of you Shall never fade away.

“The Day You Left” The day you left and gained your wings, our hearts just broke in two. We wish you could have stayed with us, but Heaven needed you. You left us with the memories, and we love you dearly still. No matter how much time goes by, you know we always will. You were a very special person, with kindness in your heart. The love you showed us will never be forgotten, you played a major role from the start. The love you showed us and the teachings won’t ever go in vain, but having to live here without you... life just won’t be the same . I know we cannot bring you back , although we will wish for it everyday. A piece of us left with you, the day you went away.
Love you always and forever
