Deacon Crumbley accepted Christ at an early age., He was a member of Central Baptist and New Era Church. His spiritual life grew stronger with his union at Magnolia First Baptist Church where he served for many years. He was proud to be a deacon and worked in Christan Education. Known for his direct statements, humor, and BBQ skills., he loved people, and they loved him. On August 28, 2017, the Lord heard his prayers and hymns and called him home. He bade no one a “Good Bye or a farewell; he was gone with the joy of the morning light. He leaves to mourn his passing; one aunt, Marjorine Spearman; and sister-in-law, Ruby Davis, step grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Special thanks to the staff of Avalon Hospice and Rosalind Cottrell for his care in his final days.

The Broken Chain

We little knew that morning, that God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly; in death, we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you; you did not go alone; for part of us went with you the day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide, and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same; but as God calls us one by one, the Chain will link again.
