Remembering T homas...
T homas Bernard Richardson III passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2019, at St. Francis Hospital. Thomas was born February 19, 1983, in Memphis, Tennessee to Thomas Bernard Richardson II
and Essie Murphy.-Richardson. He was preceded in death by his father, grandfather Osie Murphy, grandmother Adell Murphy and Aunt Mary Louise Johnson. Thomas accepted Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Harvey Jackson. He served as a member of the Junior Choir and Junior Usher Board. He also enjoyed participating with the Boy Scouts. Thomas always loved to study dinosaurs and at a very early age, he gave several presentations for children at the public library. During his presentations, he used his extensive collection of dinosaurs while sharing various facts of dinosaur life. Thomas graduated with the Melrose High School class of 2003 and after high school, he attended ITT Tech. He was employed by Aramark Food Services at the Federal Express Hub. Thomas was sincerely devoted to reading and studying God’s Word; along with sharing the Word at every opportunity including on his job. His hobbies were playing video games, collecting swords, cooking for his mom, and taking exceptional care of his beloved dog Barkley and precious kitty, Inky. Thomas’ generous spirit was a blessing to all. His desire to help someone as he passed along did not end with his death. Many years ago he chose to be an organ donor and because of this decision, he will live on through the gifts he so willingly gave to others. Thomas is survived by his mother, Essie Murphy-Richardson and a host of dear friends.
Message to my son: My dear son, Trey, from the moment I first held you in my arms you have been the light of my life; and my reason for living. You were always loving, thoughtful, and generous. You were different, special, unique in a thousand ways. You were my knight in shining armor, my hero, protector, and encourager. I will miss you, miss you, miss you for the rest of my days! Until we meet again in heaven.
