Mr. Walter “Rick” Campbell, 88 years old, was born January 26, 1929, to
the union of Mr. Walter Campbell, Sr. and Mrs. Angie Alexander Campbell in Collierville, Tennessee. He graduated from Collierville School in 1944 and joined the armed forces serving two years for his country. In 1947 he moved to Hebron Califonia. He later moved to Los Angeles California, where he met and married Irene Lowe. To this union, one son was born. They moved to Compton, California, where Walter retired after 25 years of service at Edwards Airforce Base. Walter returned to Memphis to help with the care of his mother after retirement. He married Mayflower Hardaway. He joined St. Mark Church Collierville under the leadership of Reverend Jerry Hughes, serving as a deacon and singing in the male chorus. After many years of serving the Lord at St. Mark. He joined the New Sardis family under the leadership of Reverend L, LaSimba Gray until his death. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Campbell, Sr., his wife, Mrs. Irene Lowe Campbell, his son Terick Cambell, sisters, Mrs. Louise Campbell Ford, Mrs. Lovelle Campbell Hunt, his grandparents, Reverend Mason and Mrs, Surena Campbell and Mr. Richard and Mrs. Cornelius Alexander. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife Mrs. Mayflower Hardaway Campbell, one brother, Mr. Charles (Marie) Campbell, Sr., one sister, Mrs. Claudia Campbell Jackson, one sister-in-law, Mrs Marie Campbell, two grandchildren, Terika Campbell and Terick Campbell, Jr., two greatgrandchildren, a godson Bernard Winston, three aunts, Mrs. Gonzella Williams, Mrs. Vera Barnes and Mrs. Nellie Alexander, two nieces, Shirley Ann and Delois Ann, five nephews, Floyd, Daryl, Barry, Johnny, and Jabulani, a host of cousins other relatives and friends.

Blessed are they that mourn for they shall be comforted. Matthew 5:4 When it seemed that our loss was so great to bear; we looked up and saw our friends were there. You comforted us and shared our grief. God Bless and keep each of you in granting all relief. Our gratitude cannot be adequately expressed with mere words. We would say “Thank You” we “Love You” and always remember Walter.
