PROGRAM Day 1 – Sunday 16/6: Arrival at Copenhagen Airport Denmark Welcoming in Copenhagen. Drive to Fyn for herd visit at Gl. Kroggaard, owned by Palle Bjerregaard Hansen. Transport to Aarhus and the conference hotel, Radisson Blu Scandinavia. Check in and dinner at Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel, Aarhus Included: transport, dinner, overnight
Day 2 – Monday 17/6: Data driven Co-Operation Early morning WJCB meeting, breakfast, and departure to VikingGenetics Bull Station, Assentoft. Going back to Aarhus Agro Food Park for lunch and meetings. Companions are going to the openair museum “The Old City”, Aarhus Everyone meets for dinner at the Horisont Conference center. Included: transport, lunch, entrance to The Old City, dinner, overnight
Day 3 – Tuesday 18/6: The White Gold EJF meeting in the morning and breakfast. Professional presentation at Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel. Herd visit at the herd of Steen Nørgaard Madsen (chairman of the Danish Dairy Board). Lunch during the visit. Companions will go to Silkeborg, sails on the lakes of Silkeborg with the paddle steamer boat “Hjelen” and have a walk to “The Sky Mountain” (one of the highest hills in Denmark). Everyone meets for dinner in the Tastum Jersey herd, owned by the Thomas Søgaard family in Stoholm. Included: transport, lunch, dinner, overnight
Day 4 – Wednesday 19/6: The sustainable breed of the future EJF meeting and breakfast. Professional talks about Individual Cattle Feed Intake, CFIT and Green House Gas, GHG, emissions and the ONIMIT project. Herd visit at Ulvsbjergaard owned by Hans Rasmussen, Fyn. Companions departure to Fyn early where there will be church and castle visits. Hindsgavl Castle and Egeskov Castle Everyone meets for dinner in the Juulsgaard herd, owned by Niels Ulrik Andersen, Fyn. Included: transport, lunch, dinner, overnight
Day 5 – Thursday 20/6: Beef on Jersey WJCB Council meeting and breakfast. Three herd visits, first is Oesterbygaard Jerseys owned by Morten Dalby, Hovbjerg. The next herd visit and lunch will be at Tranbjerg Østergaard, Årre. A farm specialized in calf production. Last is Adelgaard Jersey, Skjern, owned by Vagn Lindy Petersen.
Companions are going to Legoland, experiencing the park and having lunch. Transport to the coast of the North Sea, for a walk in the beautiful landscape along the beaches. Everyone meets for dinner at Adelgaard Jersey, Skjern. Included: transport, entrance for companions at Legoland and lunch, dinner, overnight
Day 6 – Friday 21/6: Jersey is a part of the bright future. WJCB meeting and breakfast. Input from Danish Jersey Chairman Bent Olesen and others on Jerseys in a global future perspective. Everyone walks to Aros Art Museum, Aarhus followed by lunch at Salling Rooftop. Time on your own, in the city. In the evening we are having a 3-course dinner at Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel - Official Conference closing dinner. Included: transport, lunch, entrances, festive dinner, 1 drink included and overnight
Day 7 – Saturday 22/6: Port tour to Norway Late breakfast. Check out at 12 am. Transport and herd visit at Nørskovgaard, owned by Emil og Jørn Mortensen, Silkeborg and Alstrup I/S, owned by Bent & Lars Olesen, Brønderslev. Transport to the ferry in Hirtshals, dinner and overnight at the ferry. (not included) Included: transport and lunch *Please note that there can be changes in both programs.

Day 8 – Sunday 23/6: Welcome to Norway – Bergen guided tour and Fløyen Arrival in Bergen. Pick up at the Terminal and transfer to the hotel. Guided tour of Bergen with a visit to Fløyen. Check in and dinner at Scandic Hotel Torget Cost not included in pricing.
Day 9 – Monday 24/6: Departure from Bergen to Vik Check out and breakfast at Scandic Torget. Guided bus tour from Bergen to Vik. Guided tour at Hoppestad Stave Church. Fjord cruise from Vik to Balestrand. Lunch included at the Cider house.
Day 10 – Tuesday 25/6: Explore Balestrand Breakfast at Kviknes hotel. Local aquarium and scenic walks Next up the architectural landmarks and the tourism museum. Guided Fjord Cruise to Fjærland and Norwegian Glacier Museum. In Fjærland - Experience the breathtaking Bøyabreen glacier. Fjord cruise from Fjærland to Vik. Bus transfer from Vik to Voss for accommodation with a stop at Tvindefossen waterfall. Check-in at Scandic Hotel Voss and enjoy a self-paid dinner at Voss.
Day 11 – Wednesday 26/6: Transport and Jerseyday Breakfast at Scandic Voss. Departure Voss by bus. Visit to Nedre Lid Jersey Farm. Here we meet Olav Holstad and the farm that we run together with 2 other farmers, they have built up a new production facility together, where they are now producing 871 tons of milk from the Jerseys. Bus from Sand to Sola Strand Hotel. Visit to Fattnes Jersey Farm. Here we meet Johannes Fattnes og Helene Sejersted Bødtker and learn more about their 250 ton yearly milk production. Lunch included on the bus.
Day 12 – Thursday 27/6: Arrival at Sola Strand Hotel The group will arrive at Sola Strand Hotel. Sola Strand Hotel is a beautiful beachfront hotel located in Sola, Norway. Participants will have free time to relax and enjoy the hotel facilities. There will be a festive dinner at Sola Strand Hotel. Offered by the Norwegian Jersey Group and after the dinner Helge Arne Espeland at Tine which will give us an overview of Norwegian agriculture with a main
focus on milk production in Norway, Tine is the largest dairy in Norway with locations throughout Norway and a very important cooperation partner for the Norwegian farmers.
Day 13 – Friday 28/6: Departure from Hotel and Visit to Bryne Jerseymeieriet Check out from the hotel. Farm visit to Herikstad farm and Jersey dairy. Here we will meet Sonja, Per Ådne Skårland and their 4 children where they will show us how they run their farm with a yearly production of 350 tons milk. Departure Bryne. Board the bus for the next destination. Stop at Sola Airport, Stavanger Port and Bergen Center.
Hotels on our tour Sola strand hotel is located on the beautiful sand beach. This Hotel is known for the great location and good dinners. A must stay place on the outsides of Stavanger. Scandic Torget: This is the hotel in Bergen where the tour starts. It offers comfortable accommodation and convenient access to the city's attractions, just next to Bryggen and The Fish Marked. Scandic Hotel Voss is located in the heart of Voss within walking distance to everything in the center of the sporty Village Voss. Located in Balestrand, Kviknes Hotell is one of the hotels included in the tour. It offers stunning views of the fjord and provides a memorable stay experience.
