The much-esteemed Moscow City Ballet troupe bring us Romeo & Juliet, set to Prokofiev’s dramatic score and Swan Lake – one of Tchaikovsky’s big-story ballets and the essence of Russian culture. Both will be performed with a full live orchestra and cannot fail to elevate the spirit. As the sun starts to emerge again it’s time for some rock ‘n’ roll with the established, 25 year-running hit show Buddy Holly & The Cricketers, starring some of the West End’s finest actor-musicians. Jazz giant Courtney Pine joins us for a night alongside Omar – we all need some soul in our lives and these two hugely talented musicians will be creating some truly original sounds. Female vocalist Katie Markham will continue the soulful vibe with The Adele Songbook. And Ruby Wax will be hosting a forum for discussion following the success of her best-selling new book ‘A Mindfulness Guide for the Frazzled’ −an important look at mental health, as well as being funny, insightful and thought-provoking.
IN THE STUDIO We have seen original new work with our first in-house production of ‘FOG!’− a comedy co-written by local writers Tessa Coleman and Andrea Earl, which received a great response from our audiences and the Press.

RSC: LIVE
THE TEMPEST LIVE SCREENING
Simon Russell Beale returns to the RSC after 20 years to play Prospero in this groundbreaking production directed by Artistic Director Gregory Doran. On a distant island a man waits. Robbed of his position, power and wealth, his enemies have left him in isolation. But this is no ordinary man, and this no ordinary island. Prospero is a magician, able to control the very elements and bend nature to his will. When a sail appears on the horizon, he reaches out across the ocean to the ship that carries the men who wronged him. Creating a vast magical storm he wrecks the ship and washes his enemies up on the shore. When they wake they find themselves lost on
a fantastical island where nothing is as it seems. In a unique partnership with Intel, the production will be using today’s most advanced technology in a bold reimagining of Shakespeare’s magical play, creating an unforgettable theatrical experience. rsc.org.uk

RSC LIVE
JULIUS CAESAR ENCORE SCREENING
Angus Jackson directs Shakespeare’s epic political tragedy, as the race to claim the empire spirals out of control. Caesar returns from war, allconquering, but mutiny is rumbling through the corridors of power. The Rome season in the Royal Shakespeare Theatre opens with the politics of spin and betrayal turning to violence. Following his sell-out productions of Tom Morton-Smith’s Oppenheimer (2014) and James Fenton’s adaptation of Don Quixote (2016), Season Director Angus Jackson steers the thrilling action. 36
