message Hey manatees! If you’re new, I want to start off by giving you a big welcome! I hope you stay around to find out what KIWIN’S is all about and help us grow our ohana! To the returning members: let’s make this term better than ever! Club rush season has finally ended for all Jet schools and school is starting to kick in. I hope all is going well for everyone! We’ve got plenty of events in store: spirit nights, Fall Rally South, Rose Float- just to name a few. But for now, here’s a recap. I firstly want to thank everyone for racking in those hours and being dedicated as always. For the month of September, we were able to bring in 1281 hours! Great job manatees. Also, we had an amazing turnout for the ice skating fundraiser and September DCM. Thanks to everyone who attended! Together we were able to raise money towards DCON and for Thirst Project. Before I end, I just wanted to remind everyone that Fall Rally is less than two months away! Make sure to pay your dues and get your Rally registration fees in. Hope to see new faces there! manatees’ corner How do you feel about going back to school?
I was hesitant at first because I am a freshman and there are lots of new changes. However, with a few weeks of school in, I love high school ! -CATHERINE LE (9), LQHS
i have never been more stressed about my mental health crumbling to pieces. but i am glad to see my friends again, and somewhat have a social life. -ALDOUS HONG (11), LAHS Although I had to get back to the stressful environment, I am glad to be back in school because I can talk to my friends more, which I couldn’t do in the summer. -MINH PHAN (11), FVHS
I’m really enjoying everyday meeting new people and expanding my friends circle. Although there’s some subject I’m struggling in, but i just know i’ll manage to pass somehow. Overall, I feel great about I’m excited for this year because going back to school. it holds so many opportunities for -KHIETANH NGUYEN (10), SFHS me to grow as a person and closer to my club and friends.
