COMMUNION OFFERING: ORPHAN, FOSTER & ADOPTION MINISTRY This month’s communion offering goes toward the Orphan, Foster and Adoption Ministry (OFAM), a ministry that intentionally cares for local and global orphans, foster children, and adoptive and foster families by raising awareness and facilitating conversations at BUMC. You can give during communion in the offering plates or text BUMCCOM and a dollar amount to 28950 (ex. BUMCCOM 50). If this is your first time giving through text, you will receive a text back with information on how to register.

Sunday, November 11, 6-7:15 p.m., BUMC Chapel Join OFAM for a forum on trauma, grief, and attachment in children & adolescents. This forum will help us better understand what it means to be a "child from hard places" and how to best parent them with care, compassion, and education.

Visit the table in the Children's Breezeway The Boy Scouts of Troop 1 are selling Christmas wreaths to raise money for camping gear, troop supplies, and events. Wreaths vary in size and cost: small wreaths are $24, regular wreaths are $30, large wreaths are $45. All orders will be ready for pickup on Sunday, November 25. Support our scouts! Saturday, November 17, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Bring your family for a service project with Tennessee Alliance for Kids. We need 35 volunteers who can sort, organize, and help assemble shelves.

BUMCSM SKATE NIGHT

Sunday, November 25, 6-8 p.m., Brentwood Skate Center 7th – 12th graders, bring your friends and your tacky Christmas apparel to Skate Night! Cost is $5 at the door. Hope to see you there!

FAMILY ADVENT FESTIVAL

Saturday, December 1, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. Celebrate Advent together as a family! There are activities for children of all ages, including Advent wreaths, button crafts, and Jesse trees. Cost is $20/family.

BREAKTHRU WINTER RETREAT

December 28-31, Odenville, Alabama 7th – 12th graders, hang out with our Student Ministry staff at Breakthru 2019. Invite your friends to 4 days of fun, fellowship, and worship. Cost is $240.
