COMMUNION OFFERING: BUMC DISASTER RESPONSE

COMMUNION

This month's Communion offering is for the Disaster Response Fund. Through this fund, we partner with organizations like UMCOR or local recovery teams to quickly respond to when natural disasters occur. You can give during Communion in the offering plates or text BUMCCOM and a dollar amount to 28950 (ex. BUMCCOM 50). If this is your first time giving through text, you will receive a text back with information on how to register.

RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE www.redcrossblood.org Sunday, October 7, 7:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., BUMC parking lot Donate at BUMC to help save lives! There are 2 Red Cross Bloodmobiles in the parking lot this weekend. In order to donate, you must: be at least 17 years old; weigh at least 110 pounds; be in good health; be cleared by the Red Cross to donate; and present a photo ID or your Red Cross donor card. Sunday, October 7, 2-4 p.m., BUMC Front Lawn Pets bless our lives daily; let's give them a day to be blessed! The service of blessing is 2:30 – 2:45 p.m., followed by fun for the whole family with photo booths, crafts, and pet and human-friendly treats. In the event of rain, the blessing will be October 14.

MINDFULNESS RETREAT

Tuesdays, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. The Sunny Day Club has some openings for new members! This club serves those in the early stages of Alzheimer's, dementia, or memory loss and offers respite for family caregivers. FALL KIDSALE THANK YOU

The BUMC KidSale is led by a dedicated team of volunteers from our church who devote countless time to host KidSale twice a year. Proceeds from KidSale support a number of BUMC strategic partners and make it possible for our students to serve on annual mission trips. Thanks to Ryan Cochran and her team for serving!
