MERGE MIDDLE SCHOOL RETREAT This weekend, 145 7th & 8th graders and 27 chaperones spent time connecting with God and each other at Horton Haven Camp. Praise God for this opportunity for our students to grow closer to Him!

BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS

Sunday, October 7, 2-4 p.m., BUMC Front Lawn Pets bless our lives daily; let's give them a day to be blessed! The service of blessing is 2:30 – 2:45 p.m., followed by fun for the whole family with photo booths, crafts, and pet and human-friendly treats. In the event of rain, the blessing will be October 14.

Help us reach our goal of more than 500 volunteers and to raise $35,000 for our projects, including Rise Against Hunger meal kit supplies. Serve as an individual, family, or small group as we pack meal kits through Rise Against Hunger, collect clothes for GraceWorks, and collect books for The Word Wagon. This will be a first look at the work this team has been doing over the last couple of years, as we prepare for the next generation of ministry. Your response and feedback in these meetings will be helpful as we dream how we can continue to be faithful in our mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world in the coming years.

BUMC DISASTER RESPONSE

BUMC is responding in love to Hurricane Florence, Typhoon Mangkhut, and other storms around the world in the following ways: 1. PRAY for those affected by the storms and the first responders. 2. CARE If you have a loved one affected by the storms and need pastoral care or prayers, contact Rev. David Ssebulime at dssebulime@bumc.net. 3. GIVE as you are able to UMCOR's designated or undesignated funds. One hundred percent of your gift goes directly toward disaster relief.
