Single & Parenting...A House Full of Opportunity! Divorce Recovery - Wednesdays, April 23 - May 28, 6:30 - 8:00 pm, Singles Space. Cost: $30. Register at www.bumc.net/register ($1 service fee applies). This course will offer support and encouragement for adjusting to change and life after divorce. Yoga - Tuesdays, 6–7:15 pm, Room 149A/ B (Singles Area). All are welcome. Class is free. $5 donation to benefit Fisher House. BUMC Foundation Scholarship Applications Now Available - Deadline is May 1 Each year BUMC Foundation awards at least four $1000 renewable scholarships to high school or college seniors who are participants in the life of BUMC and are planning a career in a helping or caring profession (like teaching, medical field, biblical studies, etc.). Application deadline is May 1. In addition, the Foundation offers the $6,000 Howard Olds Scholarship for seminary students. Individuals eligible to apply for this award are seminary students approved by the Tennessee Conference of the United Methodist Church, or an adjacent conference, for full-time Master of Divinity or similar education in a United Methodist owned, affiliated or approved educational institution. Children in Williamson Co. need your love and stability…consider these statistics: - 72 children in Williamson County were committed to state custody in 2010. - 3,981 children in Williamson County were at poverty level in 2010. - there were 71 cases of child abuse in Williamson County in 2010. BUMC is proud to host training classes for those families interested in foster care beginning in May. These classes, sponsored by our Committee for Adoption, Foster Care and Orphan Support, will teach you about the foster care system. The class series is called PATH (Parents as Tender Healers).
