LIVING like Jesus, bringing JOY to God
Worship Emphasis
Like Jesus?
Like Jesus? Lessons on Living from the Sermon on the Mount In light of the tragic events of this past week, it’s even more important that we, as Christ’s followers, live like Jesus and bring joy to God and the world. Our 12–week sermon emphasis continues today with Rev. Travis Garner. Check the back of your worship bulletin for “Table Talk” – questions you can discuss with friends and family. Join in the conversation on Facebook (Brentwood United Methodist Church) and Twitter (#likeJesusBUMC). www.bumc.net/likejesus April 20/21 “Changing Your Status”... Matthew 5:1-12..... Rev. Travis Garner April 27/28 “Salt & Light”................... Matthew 5:13-16... Bishop Bill McAlilly
Habitat for Humanity is Underway! We Still Need YOUR Help! We’re already a third of the way toward our fundraising goal of $70,000 so please make sure you prayerfully consider an “extra mile” gift to help build this home for Tarren & Jayden Seabolt. You can use the green Habitat envelope in your bulletin, or just mark HABITAT on your check. Here’s a progress report: • Walls are up, roof is on, house is weather-tight • This weekend our crew of volunteers has started exterior siding, and is busy finishing the interior of the house. • Volunteers are still needed for Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27. See the display in the narthex to sign up or visit www.bumc.net/habitat.
