Housing Initiative 2016 www.bumc.net/Housing We will be building 2 homes in 2016 in Franklin, TN, and Columbia, TN, as well as refurbishing a school in Jacmel, Haiti. Stop by the table in the Narthex for more information. Donations We have raised $21,000 towards our goal of $50,000. Give to the Housing Initiative with envelopes found in the pew racks, text BUMCHousing to 28950 with a dollar amount, (ex. BUMCHousing 50), or visit www.bumc.net/MyAccess. Volunteers Our first build is with Habitat for Humanity and the Aguto family in Franklin. Help is needed with building and providing meals on the following dates: April 16, May 7 (women only), and May 21.

2016 Mission Trips www.bumc.net/MissionsTrips Both trips are open to ages 14+. Those under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Tlancualpican, Mexico September 9 - 18, 2016 This mission trip is designed to immerse participants in the reality of life in rural Mexico as it relates to the issues of hunger, poverty, development and global awareness through education and hands-on service of various forms. Jacmel, Haiti October 6 - 11, 2016 Join our Haiti VBS and Construction team in partnership with Restore Haiti! While experiencing the culture and community that Restore Haiti serves, we will refurbish the preschool in the community of the Haitian workers and volunteers.

New members are especially encouraged to attend to learn about our values and beliefs as United Methodists, but all are invited to learn about the foundations of a life lived for Christ. Greeters Needed for Children’s Sunday School

We are looking for warm and friendly faces to greet visiting families and help them get acclimated with the Children’s area on Sunday mornings during the Sunday School hour. It is a once a month commitment and training is provided. Contact Megan at mteegarden@ bumc.net.

BUMC Foundation Scholarships High school seniors are now eligible to apply for the BUMC Scholarships offered through the Foundation. Applications are due April 15 and can be found at www.BUMC.net/FoundationScholarship. One of the scholarships may be given to a 2016 college grad who will attend grad school in a helping profession.
