Habitat for Humanity: BUMC’s 2013 Build Is Here! • Volunteer your time, donate money & be part of helping Tarren Seabolt and her 2-year-old son, Jayden, build their own home. • The build begins in Franklin on April 13 (which is Jayden’s 2nd birthday!!) • There are 8 Saturday build days. • Hundreds of volunteers are needed to construct the house, so please stop by the Narthex to sign up and choose a day that works for you.

Free Parenting Workshops: Wednesdays, April 10 & 17 6:30 – 8:30 pm, in the Chapel April 10: “Wild Things: The Art of Nurturing Boys”, led by David Thomas. David will help us understand and explore the hearts, minds, and ways of boys, and the vital role that parents and caregivers play on the journey. April17: “Raising Girls” led by Sissy Goff. This class journeys into the heart of girls to help adults understand their daughter’s different stages of development: what is normal, what is not, and how to relate effectively.

United Methodist Women’s Songwriters’ Night (benefits Bethlehem Centers) Friday, April 19, 7 pm, Café and Tabernacle Tickets - $10 in advance, $15 at the door; includes homemade desserts and drinks. Come and get away with us in the mountains! 2013 Third Sunday Concert Series: Bach to Basics Sunday, April 21, 4 pm, Chapel The Nexus Chamber Orchestra presents “Bach to Basics,” featuring Polly Brecht, harpsichordist. Ms. Brecht is organist at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Nashville. The concert features a wide variety of music from the Baroque period to modern day for harpsichord and string orchestra. Living Well Workshop: Attention Deficit Disorder in Relationships Saturday, April 27, 9:00 am – 12 pm, Room A291 (sponsored by Congregational Care) For partners of individuals with ADD. On April 21st we will be collecting food bags for the Grace Works food pantry. Our goal this year is to collect 100 food bags and 50 basic needs bags. To make things easy, go across the street to Kroger, grab one of the $20 pre-packed and labeled bags, and pay at the register. Bring the bag(s) back to the church and they will be delivered to Grace Works to help the many in need of food in Williamson County. Habitat for Humanity Volunteer Sign Ups in the Narthex BUMC will begin building a Habitat house in Franklin on April 13. There are 8 Saturday build days. Hundreds of volunteers are needed to construct the house, so please stop by the Narthex to sign up and choose a day that works for you. URGENT NEED - Food Coordinator for Habitat 2013 build. This is a volunteer position for someone that has a special talent and gift for hospitality. Haiti Mission Trip June 15 - 22, 2013 Be part of a 15-member team to travel to Jacmel, Haiti to assist in ongoing projects.
