LIVING like Jesus, bringing JOY to God
Sermon Series, Weekends through October 13 Luke: A Gospel for Everyone This fall, our senior pastor Dr. Davis Chappell leads us through a powerful, personal portrait of Jesus as seen in the orderly account by physician-author, Luke. Come experience this gospel’s unique point of view where compassion is central, the worldly order is turned upside down, and prayer and the Holy Spirit’s power change people and circumstances. Invite a friend to join you! Pastor’s Bible Study Begins Wednesday, September 11, 6:30 pm, Sanctuary Dr. Davis Chappell takes us deeper into the Gospel of Luke during this 6-week study. No registration required. Did you know that DISTRACTED DRIVING kills more people than drunk driving? Special Presentation on Sunday, September 1, 9:45 am, Haney Hall On October 28, 2009 long-time BUMC members Doug and Pat Ralls lost their son Brian in a traffic crash caused by someone using their cell phone. Since that time, they have been tireless activists, sharing their personal story and the facts about the dangers of distracted driving. On September 1, they will share their story with us. All individuals and Sunday School classes are invited to attend. Please join Doug and Pat to hear this powerful and important message. Door-to-Door Service Consider taking advantage of our great Sunday morning shuttle service instead of circling the lot waiting for a parking space to open up. The shuttle makes continuous loops between the Narthex entrance and the Synergy lot across the street all Sunday morning. How convenient is that? Plus, taking the shuttle makes our lot less congested and more welcoming and inviting for our guests. See you on the shuttle next Sunday!
