New Sermon Series Begins Next Weekend Luke: A Gospel for Everyone For 10 weeks this fall, senior pastor Dr. Davis Chappell will lead us through a powerful, personal portrait of Jesus as seen in the orderly account by physician-author, Luke. Church-wide Picnic two weeks away - August 18 Hope you’ve made plans to attend this year’s Church-wide Picnic, August 18 from 4:30-7pm. Dr. Davis Chappell will deliver a brief vesper service at 6:30 with music from Christen Cole. BUMC will provide Stroud’s BBQ and sides, and we’ll have games and inflatables as always. So all you need is blanket to spread on the grass or a couple of lawn chairs. See you there!

Wednesday night activities begin for children, students and adults on September 11 Cokesbury Bookstore is in the Parlor today from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm, and again tonight during our Empowered Training from 4:00-8:30 pm. Come and look at the latest curriculum, Bibles, Christian books and resources to support your growth in faith! They can accept credit cards, cash and checks. Disciple Bible Study Register now online or by calling Paula Cryan at 373-3663. Disciple Bible Study is a program of intensive, disciplined Bible study [30-45 min. daily] that meets for 2 hours over 32-34 weeks. Disciple I is the prerequisite for all other Disciple Bible Studies. Disciple Leaders Needed: Have you lead a Disciple class in the past or are you a Disciple graduate with the gift of teaching and facilitation?
