New Sermon Series Begins Next Weekend Luke: A Gospel for Everyone For 10 weeks this fall, senior pastor Dr. Davis Chappell will lead us through a powerful, personal portrait of Jesus as seen in the orderly account by physician-author, Luke. Come experience this gospel’s unique point of view where compassion is central, the worldly order is turned upside down, and prayer and the Holy Spirit’s power change people and circumstances. Launch of 11 am Adult Small Groups and Children’s Sunday School Sunday, August 11 Adults 11am, Room B149 (Singles Space) Looking to dive deeper in your faith? Be part of a small group to connect to others and grow in your faith. Hear from group leaders and sign-up for a Sunday morning group as well as other days and times. Contact Rev. Church-wide Picnic two weeks away - August 18 Hope you’ve made plans to attend this year’s Church-wide Picnic, August 18 from 4:30-7pm. Dr. Davis Chappell will deliver a brief vesper service at 6:30 with music from Christen Cole. BUMC will provide Stroud’s BBQ and sides, and we’ll have games and inflatables as always. So all you need is blanket to spread on the grass or a couple of lawn chairs. See you there!

Sunday night activities begin for children, students and adults on August 25. Wednesday night activities begin for children, students and adults on September 11 Cokesbury Bookstore is in the Parlor today from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm, and again tonight during our Empowered Training from 4:00-8:30 pm. Come and look at the latest curriculum, Bibles, Christian books and resources to support your growth in faith! They can accept credit cards, cash and checks.
