The Manger of Graceworks of Williamson County The Manger is a store-like setting where qualified Williamson Co. families “shop” for Christmas presents. We need you to make shopping possible by: • donating gift items (new or gently used & unwrapped) $15 to $35 range. Place them in the POD in the BUMC parking lot. Special need for preteen/teen items. • donating money Make check payable to BUMC, noted for Graceworks, so we may shop for items tax-free. • volunteering on BUMC night December 19, 5 - 8 pm; persons needed to help with shopping and some to stay after to help with cleanup. A Festival of Carols Sunday, December 15, 7 pm, Sanctuary Members of the BUMC Chancel Choir and The Orchestra at Brentwood will present a Festival of Carols. The concert, conducted by Bill Caldwell, director of Chancel Choir, will feature some of the most beloved of the Christmas carols. It is free and open to the public. Childcare for 3 and under.

American Red Cross Blood Drive The next blood drive is Sunday, December 8 from 7:30 am to 12:30 pm. TWO buses will be available! Home-Centered Communion Team We are in need of some more volunteers to deliver communion once a month to members of our congregation that can no longer come to the church to partake of the Eucharist. The time commitment is the first Sunday of the month for an hour, and training is provided. Contact Rev. Advent and Christmas Eve Worship Advent Family Festival for Families of All Ages Saturday, December 7, 9:30 - 11:00 am, begins in the Chapel Cost: $10. Start a new Advent tradition with your family. Come for a nativity program followed by hands-on crafts including making your own Advent wreath, soup mix for missions, a chrismon ornament, a button canvas, and an edible Christmas tree. A special service of prayer and healing for those experiencing loss, divorce, strife, pain and grief during this season.

AIDS Angel Tree (Begins November 24) Bring Christmas to children and youth living with parents and caregivers battling AIDS. From Sunday November 24th until all the tags are gone, the AIDS Angel Tree will be in the Narthex throughout the Christmas season. Christmas Baskets (December 1 - 22) Once again, BUMC families will provide holiday dinners to approximately125 families: in Williamson County, through our partnership with Graceworks, and in the Humphrey Street neighborhood through Harvest Hands. The Manger (December 11-19) BUMC ‘s night of service at The Manger is Thursday, December 19, 2013 -- but if you can’t be there that night, members are encouraged to volunteer at The Manger anytime from December 11-19!
