CARING MINISTRIES is for all persons in our community. If you are in need of pastoral care, please contact Julie Donley at 615-324-7254. Emergency, after hours Pastor-On-Call: 615-969-3086 SPECIAL NOTE: Room Changes for 3 of our AA Groups: AA - 7 pm, Tuesday and Thursday BH 101 Al-Anon - Tuesdays, 7 pm, Buchanan House 101 CoDA - Thursdays, 6:30 pm BH 101

CARING MINISTRY HIGHLIGHTS OF THE WEEK GraceNotes GraceNotes is a ministry of care and encouragement for those going through difficult times, such as illness, grief and loss, or life transition. Recipients receive inspiring and uplifting cards twice each month from caring volunteers who also pray for each recipient’s individual needs. If you, or someone you know, needs an extra measure of Christ’s love and hope through this ministry, contact Julie Donley, Administrative Assistant to Caring Ministries: 324-7254, jdonley@bumc.net. Or, if you would like to volunteer for the GraceNotes Ministry, please contact Erin Racine, 324-7244, eracine@bumc.net. Prayer Shawl Ministry Prayer Shawls and Pocket Prayer Squares are knitted and given to those who are hurting and in need of a tangible representation of God’s love. If you know someone who would benefit from receiving this gift of love, please contact Julie Donley: 324-7254, jdonley@bumc.net. If you would like to volunteer for this ministry, you are invited to join the loving fellowship that occurs each week on Wednesday mornings from 10-12 in room A-292 (September through May). Knitting experience not necessary; all that is needed is a heart with a desire to create something with your hands that represents God’s healing love and comfort. Contact Shelley Prevost 776-5019 for more information. Intercessory Prayer Team / Email Prayer Team We trust the power of prayer and the BUMC Email Prayer Team is available 24/7 to lift prayer concerns to God. This ministry is celebrating its 10th year and currently has about 800 volunteers ready and willing to engage in prayer for those in need in our community. To submit a prayer request, email Bill Fleenor at bfleenor@outlook.com or Julie Donley at jdonley@bumc.net. If you would like to support others through prayer during their time of need, please contact Bill Fleenor to join the team. Pastoral Hospital Visits When you or someone you love faces a hospitalization, we want to support you during this difficult time. The Pastoral Staff of BUMC along with Stephen Ministers and others gifted in caregiving visit area hospitals on daily and rotating basis. Since hospitals do not inform the church when its members are admitted, if you or a family member is hospitalized, please let us know by contacting Julie Donley, Administrative Assistant to Caring Ministries: 324-7254, jdonley@bumc.net. In the case of an emergency on the weekend or after regular church office hours, please contact the Pastor-on-call at 969-3086.

Holiday Stress Slowing You Down? Sometimes our challenges seem even worse during the holidays because everyone else seems to be enjoying life while you are feeling down. A Stephen Minister can make a difference with their one-on-one confidential care. Call Sheryl at 373-3690 ext.394 or Rev. Allison Fasig at 373-3663. For a complete list of Caring Ministries, go to www.bumc.net/caringministries.
