Ways to Connect 2013 Third Sunday Concert Series: The Nexus Chamber Orchestra Sunday, February 17, 4 pm, Chapel A preview of the orchestra’s upcoming CD to be recorded at the end of February and will feature works from and inspired by Latin America. All works on the program have been written or arranged by orchestra members Conni Ellisor and Patti Rudisill. Come be the first to check out the works to be included on the NCO’s debut CD! The concert is free and open to the public. New Adult Choir Off to a Great Start! Sundays, 5 to 6 pm, adult choir room (will not meet February 17, President’s Day) The first rehearsal was a smashing success. Come be a part of this exciting new music ministry with many different styles, including some original anthems. Disaster Response Team Meeting Monday, February 18, 7 pm Take some time to learn how you can be of assistance when disaster strikes right here at home or regionally. Help out when a home burns down, when flooding, or wind damage strikes. This informative discussion, led by Susan Thornton and Dwight Armstrong, could be the night that will help plug you into real solutions that can make a difference in the life of a family or a whole community. Haiti Mission Trip - June 15 - 22 Be part of a 15-member team to travel to Jacmel, Haiti to assist in ongoing projects. First priority will be given to church members who have not been to Haiti previously with Restore Haiti. Parents and teenagers 15 and older welcome. harvest hands (www.harvesthandscdc.com) Harvest Hands is a catalyst for Christ-centered, wholistic community development working alongside our neighbors to further healthy living, education, spiritual formation and economic development in South Nashville. Middle School Tutors Needed on Thursday afternoons. It is a once a week commitment for the remainder of the school year (4-6 pm).
