Scouts Serving in Worship 8:15 am. Today is Scout Sunday and Scouts from Troop 1, sponsored by BUMC, are handling the duties of our normal ushers. This is to celebrate the 105th anniversary of Scouting and to thank BUMC for their long-standing support of Troop 1. Thanks also to the hundreds of friends and supporters of Troop 1 who attended our annual Spaghetti Dinner Saturday night in the Gym.

We had an overwhelming response and enjoyed seeing everyone return their bags last week. We collected 13,000 pounds of food and household items for GraceWorks! We could not have done it without you and the help of volunteers. Thank you for your support of Restock the Pantry. Room in the Inn During colder months, BUMC will be able to host additional “emergency” nights. Spiritual mentors for middle school students needed! If you have a heart to make disciples and a love for middle school students would you consider becoming a mentor? Mentors will meet one-on-one with students on Monday afternoons twice a month at Harvest Hands (424 Humphreys St., 37203). Barefoot Republic We will be hosting Barefoot Republic Camp from Mon-Fri, July 20-24. Registration and info at barefootrepublic.org.

Snacks and Juice Boxes Needed We are looking for individuals, families or Sunday School classes to donate snacks and juice boxes for our After-school Program. Snacks needed include: fruit snacks, granola bars, goldfish, teddy grahams, peanut butter crackers and 100 calorie packs. Juice boxes must be 100% juice. Snack sponsorships of $100 are also welcome. Nursery Needs If you are someone who likes to cuddle & nurture young children, please consider joining our nursery staff. There are both paid and volunteer positions currently open. Please contact Adrianne Ohrt at aohrt@ bumc.net.

Ways to Serve Faith Friends Faith Friends is a small group for young adults with special needs, meeting Wednesday evenings from 6:30-7:30. Volunteers are needed to help teach. If you have a passion for sharing the Gospel through teaching, contact Rev. Erin Racine, eracine@bumc.net, 615-373-3663, ext. 244. Just 2 Hours a Month! That’s all it takes to join the team of worship entry volunteers. This isn’t work that requires a lot of computer skills. If you can “click”, you can do it. If you are willing to support our pastors on a regular basis by writing two notes per month and praying specifically for those to whom you are writing, then the FaithNotes Ministry is for you!
