St. Olaf Choir Concert Saturday, February 15, 7:30 pm, Sanctuary St. Olaf Choir, with 75 mixed voices, is the premier a cappella choir in the United States. For over a century, the choir has set a standard of choral excellence and remained at the forefront of choral artistry. Tickets are $30 (adults) $10 (students). 6th Annual Songwriter’s Night sponsored by the BUMC United Methodist Women Friday, February 28 at 7 pm in the Youth Tabernacle Cost $10, benefits Adoptions through Holt International. Featured Songwriters: Karyn Williams and Brian White. Karyn Williams released her first single to radio, Rejoice, which led to her signing with Inpop Records in 2011. Brian White’s songs have been recorded by such Christian artists as Avalon, Point of Grace, Jaci Velasquez and Country and Pop artists such as Trace Adkins, Gary Allan, Rodney Atkins, Rascal Flatts, Steve Holy, Earl Scruggs, Terri Clark, Kix Brooks, and Blackhawk.

Lent Begins with Ash Wednesday Worship Wednesday, March 5, 6:30 pm, Sanctuary Led by Rev. Eric Burton-Krieger Ash Wednesday begins the 40-day period of reflection known as Lent which helps us prepare spiritually for our understanding of the suffering, death and resurrection of Jesus. Three times this season, BUMC volunteers have been asked with short notice to add an additional night of service to our RITI calendar.
