New Starting Point Session starts in two weeks Classes are scheduled for Sundays, January 19 - February 9 at 11 am. On February 16, class members will meet immediately following the 11 am service for a Q&A lunch with Dr. Davis Chappell. If you’re interested in learning how to become more active in the congregational life of BUMC, then we encourage you to register for this five-week course which covers everything from beliefs to vision to membership. Alive Hospice Grief Support Group Begins January 16 Alive Hospice will be hosting an 8-week Grief Support group at BUMC on Thursdays, January 16 - March 6, 5:30-7:00 pm. This group will be professionally facilitated and is appropriate for anyone who has experienced the loss of a loved one. There is a $40 fee, but this may be waived if needed. To register call 615-963-4732 or e-mail griefsupport@ alivehospice.org. 2014 Sunday & Wednesday Evening Activities Begin in January Sunday evening activities for children, youth, and adults resume January 12. Wednesday evening activities resume January 15. BUMC Youth Choir Winter Retreat to Camp Hillmont: January 31-February 2 What a great way to start our new choir music (Jubilation, 7-9th, and Sonshine, 10-12th) for the semester, prepare for our Share the Spirit worship night, and choir tour music. A perfect time for new members to join! We will worship, have fun, and wrap up Saturday with our traditional dance party!Email jmorgan@bumc.net for more info.
