Foundation Scholarship Recipients The Brentwood UMC Foundation is pleased to announce the following winners of its 2012-2013 scholarships: Mallory Glasgow, Jennifer Johnson, Sara Rains, Katherine Schenck. The BUMC Foundation awards four scholarships each year to active members of BUMC. At least three of the renewable scholarships go to graduating high school seniors and the fourth is available for college students returning for graduate studies. Step Up to Connect BUMC Concert Series Presents the Maryland State Boychoir Sunday, August 5 - 8:30 and 11:00 am worship choir, 2:00 pm concert, Narthex This superb choir will be presenting this concert as a part of its week-long tour. They will perform a wide variety of choral music, from sacred masterworks to gospel. The concert is free and open to the public. A free-will offering will be received. Better Decisions Mentors: A Rewarding Experience for Women Better Decisions, a nonprofit organization that teaches decision-making skills to inmates at the Tennessee Prison for Women, needs volunteers for the next “Better Decisions” class. Mandatory training weekend is September 8 & 9 (9-4 on Saturday, 1-5 on Sunday). Meet weekly with your inmate partner from September 16 thru November 4. Register online at www.betterdecisions.org.
