Did You KNOW? Our United Methodist Women circles collected more than 280 blankets and 500 bars of soap for UMCOR birthing kits to be used in Haiti? The goal was to assemble and complete 100 kits which required 200 cotton receiving blankets and 100 bars of soap. UMW circle members provided the remaining needs that included string, razor blades, plastic sheeting , rubber gloves and Ziploc bags. The goal was met and exceeded, much to the delight of the 17 women who gathered to assemble and prepare the kits.
