Maundy Thursday Worship Thursday, April 2, 7 pm, Sanctuary Commemorate Jesus’ Last Supper in a service of scripture, music, and Communion which ends by stripping the Sanctuary and leaving in silence.  Friday, April 3, 7 pm, Sanctuary Featuring music from the Chancel Choir and Chancel Choir Ensemble. Also leading in the service will be Readers Theatre. Childcare: 3 & under.

Camp Barnabas Mission Trip June 13-19 open to 9th-12th grade to work with children with special needs. 9th graders serve a behind the scenes role; 10th-12th work directly with campers. Adults are also needed, Register online. Hinton Mission Trip June 28-July 3 open to 7th-12th grade working on repairing homes in a rural setting; the camp is on a beautiful lake. Adults needed to chaperone youth and help at the work sites. Register online.

Here are some ways you can help: • Consider attending the Saturday evening service in the Sanctuary • Park in the Synergy lot and ride the parking shuttle which will run from 7:00 am until 12:30 pm. • Pay attention to those seated around you. Introduce yourself and welcome our guests. • Offer to escort guests to the sanctuary, nursery, restroom, etc. • If you don’t know an answer to a guest’s question, take him or her to the Guest Services Desk where an Andrew Minister will be glad to assist Your small acts of hospitality may help create a more worshipful atmosphere for those who are seeking the risen Christ on this joyous day of resurrection. BUMC Foundation Offers Scholarships Scholarship applications are available now for graduating high school seniors (at least 3), a graduating college senior going to graduate school in a helping profession (1), and (1) student applying to seminary at a United Methodistowned, affiliated, or approved educational institution. International Mission Trips 2015 - www.bumc.net/MissionTrips Interested in a more hands-on approach to making a difference? Each of our international mission trips has an aspect of health and wellness through community development. 2015 trip dates: Haiti, October 15-20; Honduras, October 10-17; and Mexico, October 9-18. Umbrella Collection Have an extra umbrella? The students of a local elementary school are looking for new, gently-used umbrellas. The students have to walk from building to building uncovered daily and are hoping to use these umbrellas at the school. You can place your umbrellas in the red bin near the reception desk or in the children’s area. Harvest Hands (www.harvesthandscdc.com) Summer Internships Available We are currently seeking interns for our 2015 Summer Program. The ideal candidates are college-aged, have a desire and passion to work with children or youth, and are capable of leading and implementing our summer program. It is a nine-week commitment and is a paid internship. Individuals interested in working with elementary students can submit their resume to Alissa at alissa@harvesthandscdc.com and individuals interested in working with middle school students can submit their resume to Tess at tess@harvesthandscdc.com. Snacks and Juice Boxes Needed We are looking for individuals, families or Sunday School classes to donate snacks and juice boxes for our After-school Program. Snacks needed include: fruit snacks, granola bars, goldfish, teddy grahams, peanut butter crackers and 100 calorie packs. Juice boxes must be 100% juice. Snack sponsorships of $100 are also welcome. Ways to Give . . . Flower Vases Needed When you’re doing your spring cleaning, please remember the BUMC flower ministry. Bring your flower vases to the “cubby” hallway next to Memorial Chapel in the Turner Discipleship Center. Each week, flowers from our worship services are shared with people who need the cheer flowers can bring. Blood Drive, Sunday, April 12 The next blood drive is Sunday, April 12 from 7:30 am to 12:30 pm. Our goal is 40 units of blood and to help reduce the number of deferred donors and reach our goal, please increase your intake of iron-rich foods to reduce the chance of being deferred due to a low hemoglobin level.
