Ways to Step Up in March Step Up! 2012 is our year-long emphasis of five core practices that lead to a stronger faith and a more vibrant church. These practices include: worship, connect, invite, serve and give. See the list below for specific things you can do now to begin to Step Up, or check our website, bumc.net and click on “Step Up.”

Give generously to God’s work

We’re raising $70,000 for this year’s Habitat House. A special offering will be taken on Sunday, March 18. Come prepared with your checkbook and pen! SUNDAY IN WORSHIP – Gracie Schram Gracie is a 13-year-old singer, songwriter, and philanthropist. Inspired by a sermon series about AIDS orphans in Africa, she recorded her first CD, Showers from God, at age 10 with the goal of raising $1,000 for orphans. Gracie donates a portion of all music sales to her “Showers from God Fund” which has raised over $21,000. Meet Gracie in the breezeway after Sunday worship where she’ll have copies of her newest CD for purchase.

It’s Habitat Time Again! 14th annual BUMC Habitat Build begins Saturday, April 14 - signups begin March 11 Meet John & Amanda O’Neal and their 4 children in worship on March 18, where we will launch our $70,000 fundraising campaign to build them a new home they will purchase from Habitat. This year’s build is in Spring Hill, in conjunction with the Trinity campus. Volunteer sign-ups will begin next weekend in the narthex. More information is available at www.bumc.net/habitat. Habitat Informational Meeting Thursday, March 8 Feel called to serve through Habitat? Curious what Habitat is all about? Wonder how this all works? Want to know more about BUMC’s 15 years as a leader in affordable housing ministry in Williamson County?
