THE BEAM May 18 - 24, 2014
Let’s celebrate the heroes of our Missions and Outreach ministries! At Brentwood we are actively engaged in year-round ministry with our local and global neighbors. Throughout this coming week, join us in thanking our Missions and Outreach Heroes. To you our Heroes, we want to say thank you for: • building houses for our local neighbors through Habitat for Humanity and your work through Restore Haiti for our global neighbors • providing shelter, meals, and clothing to our neighbors without homes through Room in the Inn • empowering our children and youth through Harvest Hands and many other partners • providing education to children in South Africa, Uganda, and Haiti • being present to our local children as mentors, tutors, and providing back to school resources • providing volunteer hours and feeding our neighbors through GraceWorks and 61st UMC • being God’s healing hands by supporting various medical initiatives through Siloam Clinic, Give Ye Them to Eat in Mexico, and Hands of Christ in Honduras. In many ways, and through every season, you have been present. You have been a Hero to many and today we say thank you! Stop by the HEROES ministry table in the Narthex today to learn more about serving opportunities in Missions and Outreach, and to pick up your copy of the 2014 Serving Opportunities catalog.
