Celebrating our Volunteers! Today we celebrate the hundreds of people who live like Jesus by volunteering their time, giving of their gifts, and serving in ministry in our children’s, youth, and adult discipleship ministries. Because of you, lives are transformed as you teach and lead by your example what it means to be a follower of Christ! If you’d like more information about volunteering in our Children’s Ministry, Student Ministry, Adult Discipleship or Single’s Ministry, please fill out the card in the bulletin and drop it in the offering plate. Love Offering & Reception for Rev. Kaye Harvey Today, May 19 at noon in the Parlor Rev. Please greet her and express your appreciation at today’s reception. If you would like to be a part of a love offering, please make your check payable to BUMC and write “Harvey Love Offering” in the memo line. Offering deadline: May 19.
A word of thanks: May I share a magnificent thank you to BUMC for all that you have meant to our family and to me personally over these past 10 years of ministry together. It is a blessing beyond measure to serve Christ alongside of you. One of the most meaningful moments for me in worship each Sunday is when we offer our gifts back to God as we sing the Doxology together – “Praise God from whom all blessings flow.” As I stand before the cross and the light shines brilliantly through the stained-glass windows, I cannot help but be moved by God’s grace that has blessed us together so very much more than our imagining. And I am eternally grateful for being able to witness the love of Christ in this place. Praise God from whom ALL blessings flow. Thank you for being that blessing to me. I believe with all my being that the best years of this church are ahead of us. With Christ, the best is yet to be. I will continually pray for you and your ministry in this community and around the world. “And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.” (Philippians 1:6) Habitat for Humanity House Dedication Today, May 19, 2-3 pm Help us welcome Tarren and Jayden into their new home at today’s home dedication.
