THE BEAM May 25-31, 2014

Today we are celebrating the heroes of our administrative and behind-the-scenes ministries.

Josie McCamish fills in at the reception desk.

We celebrate all those who serve in the “behind the scenes” ministries that enable our church to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. Thank you for being OUR HEROES!

Jackie Rucker helps make our gardens look beautiful!

Last Starting Point Until Fall If you’ve thought about registering for Starting Point and just haven’t gotten around to it, now’s the time. The session starts next Sunday, June 1 at 11 am in Haney Hall, and it’s the only session offered this summer. The 4-week course will help you learn how to become more active in the congregational life of BUMC and covers everything from beliefs to vision to membership. Register at bumc.net/startingpoint or contact Judy Bumgarner at jbumgarner@bumc.net. Jubilation Youth Choir Send Off Concert Sunday, June 1 at 4 pm in the Sanctuary. Help us send our 7th-9th grade Jubilation Youth Choir off on a 5-day tour to Indianapolis, IN. These tours give choir members opportunities to minister in many settings and among many of God’s people. They share the love of Jesus through music, word, and individual time with people. The BUMC Foundation is pleased to announce the 2014 scholarship winners: Cate Cavin, Matt Graham, Amanda Hackett, and Rebecca Schenck. In addition to recognizing their academic accomplishments, we are especially gratified for the level of participation, commitment, and leadership they’ve shown in the many programs BUMC offers. Congratulations!
