Rev. Rachel Peavyhouse-Fay Honored in Worship - Today, May 26 Rev. Rachel Peavyhouse-Fay will be leaving our staff the end of this month. Rachel has served in our Congregational Care Ministries, and has ministered to our congregation with love and care during her time here. Rachel has decided to follow her call to full-time ministry as a clinical pastoral therapist/counselor, and will be exploring opportunities where she can develop her vision for ministry. While we are sad to see Rachel go, we offer our prayers and best wishes to her as she continues her ministry. We will be honoring Rachel in each of our worship services this Sunday, as we say “thank-you, Rachel, for all you have meant to us”. Welcome Home College Students! TORNADO Response
We are saddened by the destruction caused by this week’s tornadoes in Oklahoma. We are working with a variety of groups in order to best respond to the needs there with the love of Christ. There are a variety of ways for you to respond: • Pray for the people of Oklahoma, for the families of those who’ve lost their lives, for those who’ve lost their homes, for those who are recovering from injuries, and for all those responding. • Donate Money to disaster relief Write a check to BUMC, “Disaster Relief” in the memo line, or donate online to UMCOR, the United Methodist arm of relief work, at www.umcor.org. • Participate in a Future Work Team Contact Mike Dennison at mdennison@bumc.net.
