Singles In Fellowship: Register at www.bumc.net/register Haiti Missions The Singles are collecting used sunglasses/reading glasses (+100 and +200 strength). Donations accepted in the basket in Singles Space. Singles Christmas Dinner Dance Saturday, December 7, 6-10 pm, $25 before December 1st, $30 after December 1st. The attire for the event is semi-formal/ dressy dress. Make checks payable to BUMC Singles. Please mail in your check or stop by our receptionist to pick up your ticket. American Red Cross Blood Drive The next blood drive is Sunday, December 8 from 7:30 am to 12:30 pm. TWO buses will be available! Our goal is 50 units of blood. ‘Double Red Cell Donations’ are accepted on the bus. Please call Brenda Duncan (373-5637) for more information. Home-Centered Communion Team We are in need of some more volunteers to deliver communion once a month to members of our congregation that can no longer come to the church to partake of the Eucharist. The time commitment is the first Sunday of the month for an hour, and training is provided. Contact Rev. Art in the Breezeway Alison Bratton, BUMC member, is having a Show/Sale of 8 of her original oil paintings in the Art Hall during the months of November and December. What size your child’s teacher wears? Honor those who have enough by giving to those in need -- visit the AGG table in the Narthex, available after every worship service, through the Christmas season (Dec 1 – Dec 22) and give your loved ones the world! AIDS Angel Tree (Begins November 24) Bring Christmas to children and youth living with parents and caregivers battling AIDS. From Sunday November 24th until all the tags are gone, the AIDS Angel Tree will be in the Narthex throughout the Christmas season. Christmas Baskets (December 1 - 22) Once again, BUMC families will provide holiday dinners to approximately125 families: in Williamson County, through our partnership with Graceworks, and in the Humphrey Street neighborhood through Harvest Hands. Order forms are available in today’s BEAM! The Manger (December 11-19) BUMC ‘s night of service at The Manger is Thursday, December 19, 2013 -- but if you can’t be there that night, members are encouraged to volunteer at The Manger anytime from December 11-19! Sixty-First Avenue UMC’s Toy Store (December 8-21) Gifts for teenagers are especially needed at this year’s Toy Store – cologne, aftershave, jewelry, portable speakers, and gift cards to anywhere teenagers love to go! Basketball & Cheerleading Coaches Needed This is a twice a week commitment with practices being on either Monday or Tuesday nights beginning January 13th and games each Saturday morning beginning January 25th through March 1st.
