AIDS Angel Tree - through December 14 Help provide a merrier Christmas for a child whose life is impacted by AIDS. Family Advent Event Saturday, December 6 9:30 – 11:00 am in the Chapel Make some memories at this annual event where you and your kids can enjoy making a family Advent wreath and several crafts, and assembling soup mix for missions. Cost is $10 per family. Register at bumc.net/register.

Shopping Shuttle To show our hospitality to the Brentwood community, we’re encouraging Brentwood Place shoppers to use our lot for overflow parking on December 13 & 20. Help us spread the word! • Evangelism and Hospitality volunteers will shuttle shoppers to the Kroger Shopping Center, 11 am to 5 pm on Saturdays, December 13 & 20. • Shoppers will receive a schedule of our Advent activities and an invitation to attend. Blood Drive Sunday, December 14, 7:30 am – 12:30 pm TWO buses will be available! To help reduce the number of deferred donors and reach our goal of 40 units, please increase your intake of iron-rich foods to reduce the chance of being deferred due to a low hemoglobin level. Class to Reduce Falls in Older Adults Our first “ Stepping On” class, an evidence-based seven-week program to reduce falls risk in older adults, is wrapping up this week. We will be able to offer another class after the first of the year if there is interest. Visit the table in the Children’s Breezeway to pick a tag for a child whose family has been affected by HIV/AIDS that would otherwise not receive gifts this year. We have 300 children represented through our Angel Tree and would like to see each child cared for this Christmas! Gifts need to be returned no later than noon on December 14.
