Join the Sunny Day Club in a Walk to End Alzheimer’s Saturday, October 17 The Sunny Day Club, a BUMC respite ministry for those in the early stages of memory loss, will participate in the Nashville Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Members of the BUMC community are encouraged to walk with us. Call Cathy at 615-891-2417 to sign up. Sunny Day Club members are wearing their Sunny Day t-shirts to this weekend’s worship services as a symbol of our support for all who suffer with Alzheimer’s.

Red Cross Blood Drive Sunday, October 11, 7:30 am – 12 pm Two Red Cross bloodmobiles are here on Sunday. Donor registration is in the main lobby. Requirements to donate: you must be at least 17-years-old; weigh at least 110 lbs.; be in good health; have not been asked by the Red Cross not to donate; and you must have a photo ID or your Red Cross donor card.


Weekly Announcements Paid Positions Available This is New Member Weekend If you are a long-time regular BUMC visitor who just hasn’t gotten around to joining or you’ve been wanting to join but you’re a little apprehensive about coming to the front of the Sanctuary by yourself, we encourage you to take the vows of membership today at any service. You’ll be welcomed into the church surrounded by others who have decided to make the commitment to membership as well. Just come forward when the call for new members is made at the end of the service.

Parenting Event: Cyber Safety for Children and Youth

Prayers for our Haiti Mission Team We have 21 youth, staff, and adults from our congregation serving on a family mission trip with Restore Haiti coming up over Fall Break, October 14-19. Please be in prayer for their safety, health, and that God would do might work in and through their lives as they serve!

Room in the Inn Each year we host men and women during the colder months in partnership with Room in the Inn. Our host nights begin in November and continue through March. This is a great service opportunity right here on our campus. Please stop by the table in the Haney Hall Breezeway to sign up to host or participate in a specific service area.
