THE BEAM
Commitment Weekend November 15/16
Week One – Gratitude It’s time to start using our Practicing Extravagant Generosity devotional guide that has been available in the Narthex over the last few weeks. If you didn’t pick up your copy, you may get one in the Narthex today. Daily readings are designed to help us prepare our hearts and minds for the upcoming emphasis on living generously.
Prayer for GRATITUDE Gracious God, Giver of all good things. I experience your generosity in nature around me, in life within me, in grace that saves me. Give me a generous heart, O God! Restore to me the wonder of living, the joy of serving, the blessing of giving, through Jesus Christ who gave His life for me. Amen. Prayer Vigil for “Taking the Next Step: Live Generously” Friday, November 14 and Saturday, November 15 Everyone is invited to participate in the prayer vigil as we enter into the last 24 hours before making our commitment for Taking the Next Step. If you are unable to come to the church, you may still participate in the vigil. Sign up in the narthex November 1-2, and November 8-9 or at www.bumc.net/GenerosityPrayer. A prayer vigil guide will be available as you enter the chapel or online for you to use through your time of prayer. We want to have every hour filled with many prayers as we prepare ourselves to take the next step in our discipleship journey.
