Dear Friends in Christ, Bishop Bill McAlilly has announced the clergy appointments for the Conference Year to begin in June. There are a few changes that we want you to know about: Reverend Erin Racine will be appointed to West End UMC as Associate Pastor in charge of Pastoral Care. We are grateful for Erin's ministry among us and remember her and her family in our prayers as she prepares to transition to a new task. Allison Gossett will be appointed to BUMC as an Associate Pastor in the area of Mission and Oureach. Allison has been working with us in a part-time role, helping us to evaluate and develop our benevolence ministry. She has recently completed her Masters in Divinity at Vanderbilt University. She will be commissioned as a provisional elder in June. Shelby Lucas Slowey will also be appointed to BUMC and will join our Caring Ministry team. Shelby is also completing her Masters degree from Vanderbilt University, and will be commissioned as a provisional elder in June. Shelby has served as an intern at Calvary UMC. She is married to Stephan Slowey, a project manager for Suttle Construction Company. We welcome back all other members of our clergy team. We are grateful for their return.
