Dear Friends in Christ, Last Saturday was such an amazing day! There were 531 special people who showed up to participate in the Stop Hunger Now event in our gym. Together, God used you to prepare 100,244 meals! People of all ages (from 4 to 89) came together to praise God through this act of compassion and service. I want to thank our missions team for their solid preparations of this event. You also raised over $30,000 to pay for the ingredients for these meals. To God be the glory! As the gong sounded each time 5,000 meals were boxed, there was a deep JOY in our hearts. You could still feel it in the air in worship on Saturday night and Sunday morning. As we celebrate with family and friends this season of Thanksgiving, I want you to know how thankful Sherre and I are for you! We feel so blessed to be a part of this fellowship. God is moving among us in so many ways. As we begin this season of Advent, I want to invite you into a time of prayerful anticipation. Advent is to Christmas what Lent is to Easter: a time of expectation, repentance and reconciliation. Making room in our lives for the Christ who comes as light in our darkness. We will do this each weekend in worship by lighting the candles of hope, peace, joy and love. We will do this through Room at the Inn, Graceworks, Alterative Gift Giving and many other acts of relational service and loving neighbor. Let me remind you also if you have not yet completed your estimate of giving card for 2016, to please do so in the next couple of weeks. Our sacrificial giving is a key part of our ongoing mission and ministry. Estimate of giving cards are available in the pews or you can click here to complete one online. Every gift is important, and is a blessing to God! Doug Ralls, our Stewardship Chair will be giving us an update in our weekend worship, December 5-6. It is a joy to be in ministry with you.

Finally, it was good to welcome as a new members Dave, Joan and Gina D'Arezzo, Dalphe Rosalis, Lexi Guzman, Robert, Stacey, Isabel and Reese Sheffield, and Eddie Sherwood to our Brentwood campus. It is also good to welcome Linda Scheffler, Brian, Kellye, Alyssa and Patrick Whitlow to our Trinity Campus. Welcome to our church community. May the peace of Christ be with you all! Yours in Christ,

Davis
