Dear Friends in Christ, We are beginning a new series this weekend called "The Power of Praise." I mentioned last week that we sometimes seem more fluent in the language of complaint than of praise. And certainly, God allows for our lamenting. Indeed, our venting is itself a form of prayer. One-third of the book of Psalms is composed of prayers of anguish and grief. And yet, our native tongue as children of God is praise. Recently while walking at Radnor lake, I saw a little girl skipping. She seemed to be lost in the wonder and joy of life, overwhelmed by all that she saw and heard. For a moment, I just watched her. As I observed her wonder, I began to see the beauty of creation through her eyes. And I too began to praise! It's our native tongue! As we share in this season of thanksgiving and praise, I want to remind you of the importance of praising God with all that we have and are. We are now in the follow-up phase of our stewardship emphasis. I encourage you to be faithful and generous in completing your estimate of giving card. Cards are available at the church. You may also fill out information online by clicking here. Our mission as a church is great and the extent of our outreach is related to our shared sacrifice. I look forward to seeing you in the place where we worship and praise our God. Finally, it was good to welcome as a new members Scott, Beth, Daniel and Elizabeth Ward to our Brentwood campus. Welcome to our church community. Yours in Christ,

Davis
