contacted but around 1,500 remain to be called. Please give just a couple of hours one night this week to make sure that each member of BUMC knows they are loved and cared for. Come to the Narthex at 6 pm, Monday through Thursday, with your charged cell phone in hand. You don’t have to register -- and training will be provided. Mexico Mission Team Returns Tonight, September 18 after spending 10 days in Tlancualpican, Puebla, Mexico at the Tree of Life Center in the GYTTE Program (Give Ye Them To Eat) working with missionaries, Terry and Muriel Henderson. The 10 member team is: Dwight Armstrong (team leader), Dan Magyar, Miguel Palmer, James Marks, Jim Zeigler, Mary Haas, Christie VanLandingham, Mary Susan Rhodes, Pat Smith, and Michelle McRae. Nexus Chamber Presents “For the Love of Guitar” Sunday, September 18, 4 pm, Chapel Paul Carrol Binkley’s classic guitar performance with Nexus will present an exciting and varied selection: from his original orchestrations of classical music to his own compositions to a fresh twist on a surprise piece of iconic pop culture created especially for the Nexus Chamber Orchestra. Brentwood United Methodist Church upcoming activities 20th Anniversary Celebration Choir We will mark the 20th Anniversary of worship in the BUMC Sanctuary on October 30th with a concert of gospel music featuring guest artist, Buddy Greene, instrumentalists, singers of our congregation, and a Celebration Choir. Red Cross Blood Drive Sunday, October 9, 7:30 am - 12:30 pm Our goal is 50 units of blood. We had a good turnout at the August 14 drive, with 56 registering to donate. We didn’t make our goal in August, but we had a tremendous improvement from the 35 units donated in June. Good work...but we still need more bodies in the chairs…please find the time to donate on October 9! Wednesday Night Dinners Volunteers needed to take on the oversight and coordination of Wednesday Night Dinners. Monday Bread Delivery for CTSG For over a year, every Monday morning bread is donated by 3 Publix Stores for our Career Transitions Support Group Monday night attendees. Volunteers pick up, deliver, and set-up the bread each Monday morning between 7 - 9 am (takes approximately 1 - 2 hours). Volunteers are needed to take one or two Monday’s each month.
