Ways to be in Ministry with the Syrian Refugees Please consider how you can help: • Pray daily for the refugees and those who are assisting them. • Give to UMCOR ‘s International Disaster Response, Advance #982450. 100% of your gift will help children and families, including Syria’s refugees, who are uprooted by disasters. • Give to the BUMC Refugee Crisis & Settlement Fund which will be used to fund organizations and ministries that help resettle refugees here in Greater Nashville. • Get involved in local refugee outreach opportunities by calling the BUMC Missions office.

Stephen Ministry Info Session Sunday, September 20, in the Parlor following the 8:15 am & 9:45 am worship services Stephen Ministry empowers and equips a team of lay-people to provide long term, one-to-one, Christ-centered, confidential care, to people experiencing grief, unemployment, hospitalization, loneliness, divorce, financial stress, terminal illness, and other life difficulties. Alive Hospice Grief Support Group at BUMC Fall Session: September 24-November 12, Thursdays, 5:30-7 pm. Alive Hospice grief support groups meet for 8 weeks and are facilitated by Licensed Clinical Social Workers. Pre-registration by telephone is required by calling 615-963-4732.
