Stephen Ministry Info Session Sunday, September 20, in the Parlor following the 8:15 am & 9:45 am worship services Stephen Ministry empowers and equips a team of lay-people to provide long term, one-to-one, Christ-centered, confidential care, to people experiencing grief, unemployment, hospitalization, loneliness, divorce, financial stress, terminal illness, and other life difficulties. Alive Hospice Grief Support Group at BUMC Fall Session: September 24-November 12, Thursdays, 5:30-7 pm. Alive Hospice grief support groups meet for 8 weeks and are facilitated by Licensed Clinical Social Workers. Pre-registration by telephone is required by calling 615-963-4732.

Rebuild Life on a Solid Foundation: Divorce Recovery Classes Wednesdays through Ocober 21, 6:30 – 8:00 pm, Room B152-A Appropriate for anyone going through divorce. Explore roller-coaster feelings, learn to forgive, discuss dating after divorce, learn how to deal with an ex – and discover available, community resources. South Africa Updates & Celebration Dinner

Sunday, September 27: Dr. Carolyn Hancock from South Africa will update us during worship on how our sponsorships are helping over 300 children obtain an education in loving, Christian environments. After-school Program Volunteers Individuals are needed to commit to volunteering one day a week with our elementary after-school program. You will work with a small group of students and help with homework, assist in implementing other educational activities and build relationships with students. Is the Bible ever wrong? Rev. Adult Leaders needed for BUMC Kids Adventures If you are looking for ways to get involved with the Children’s Ministry but cannot serve on Sunday mornings, this may be the service opportunity for you! Adult leaders are needed to help facilitate fun activities and small groups on Sunday evenings with our 1st - 4th graders. Leaders can serve on a rotating basis at least once a month, or more!
