ADJUSTABLE LAYERS
The artist belongs to a society that divides human kind into two: the diseased, and the non-diseased. Those who were affected by the biological warfare were quarantined on earth, living in harsh conditions while those not affected by the disease were sent to live on the moon; an area where they could continue the lineage of human kind. The client lives on the moon as he is not affected by the disease. In the year 2150, he is sent down to earth with a group of scientists and fellow art historians to study and collect samples of artifacts. The group is accompanied by agents to protect them from bandits and rebels, but they are required to wear a protective suit at all times. His work consists of studying architectural monuments from collected samples. At home, he archives, labels and studies these samples, while wearing a suit due to the contaminated air. At night, he sleeps in a ventilator, while provides clean, fresh air, while also disinfecting his body.
